Meet the Band: Emily Royster

Hey!!!!
I'm Emily and I play violin for Half Peeled Orange :)
I love being outside, rock climbing, playing music with my brother, and traveling.
I am also sophomore at Asbury following my passions by studying Worship Arts and Adventure Leadership. I am so glad that we get the opportunity to go to Ireland and see what God is up to over there. Every time we rehearse as a band I get more and more excited to go.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support! We really appreciate you!
Emily

Meet the Band: Lucy

Hey everyone, I'm Lucy Allen, and I'm a vocalist on the band. I'm a senior at Asbury University majoring in Theatre and Cinema Performance. Yeah, I'm an actor. I love all forms of music, spending time with people I love, and reading classic literature. I'm so excited to be a part of this group traveling to Northern Ireland! Leading worship is one of my special passions. I love to see people freely expressing themselves to worship Jesus. It's a beautiful thing. I can't wait to see what Jesus has in store for this trip, and I sincerely thank all of you who have already shown your support by giving financially and praying for us. Please continue to do so! God bless!

Meet the Band: Matt Harling

Hello world! My name is Matt Harling and I play the drums for Half Peeled Orange. I'm a junior at Asbury, even though this is my first year here. I'm a Media Communications major with an emphasis in Audio. I grew up in Chicago, so I love everything Chicago... except for the Cubs. I also love my family (obviously) and my girlfriend of the past 4 years, Carly. And, most importantly, I love Jesus, who took my sins to the cross and died by taking my punishment, then rose again in glorious day, conquering sin forever.

This trip to Northern Ireland will be the first missions trip for me. When I was told that I was going on the trip, I was excited and tried so hard to not burst into screaming excitement because I was still in the meeting. I have been to Europe a few times, but I cannot wait to go there and serve.

Please continue to pray for our group as we prepare to travel and that our hearts are open to all the good works God has in store for us. I cannot wait to be used as a tool for God's grand plan!

Meet the Band: Micah

Hello everybody! My name is Micah Pace and I am the leader of the Asbury Worship Band (a.k.a Half Peeled Orange) that is going to Ireland! I am a junior at Asbury University, am a part of the Asbury Eagles baseball team and I am studying Worship Arts and  Media Communications here. I have been able to be a part of getting to lead worship since junior year of high school and I never could have imagined God would open as many doors as He has through music. He has taught me so much in just three years about myself, the Church and who He is. I still can't believe that He has given us this opportunity to go to Ireland and get to know the people and the Church on a personal level over there. We get to help them develop their music teams/production teams and help them understand that leading worship is not something we should take lightly. We are so thankful for this opportunity that God has given us and we want to thank everyone for the support (through prayer and financially) that you all have given. We ask that you continue to pray for us as we continue on this journey! We will be posting videos and photos of the trip so stick around!

God Bless,
                 Micah

Meet the Band: Sarah

Hey guys! My name is Sarah McDonald and I am in charge of everything audio and tech on our trip. I am a double major in Worship Arts (music and media) and Media Communications (audio production). Just a little about me, I love Jesus and chocolate! Also I love to sing, be outdoors, and be with my family and friends!

Meet the Band: Kat

Hey all! For the next few days we are going to be posting band member bios so you can learn more about our team! So... here we go. I'll start us off.

I'm Kat! I play keyboard in the band and I do a lot of the administrative work. I am a freshman at Asbury and I am majoring in Worship Arts and Media Communications. I love music, my little brother, and especially Jesus! Although I am a musician, my real passion is graphic design (hence the media communications major). I am super excited to go to Ireland with this awesome team and see what God has in store for the Kingdom along the way!

I really appreciate your prayers for this trip! It's going to be amazing and we couldn't do it without all of the spiritual and financial support of our friends and family!

love and blessings,
~Kat
